looking to finally buy me a safe,ive looked at a few just wanting pros and cons of safes you've seen or had

The dealer that sold me my Cannon told me it weighed around 1500 lbs. I had them deliver it and I had bolts installed in a concrete floor. Even at that weight, you still need to BOLT DOWN anything you buy.

On some models the door locking bolts can be moved with the handle when the door is open. If they are sticking out when the door is being closed the bolts can damage/hit the door frame chipping the finish of the cabinet.. I do know Liberty's can not be moved when door is open. i dont khow about any others.

Deadwood your right! Think about how many guns will have scopes they take up more space.
Paper work(Deeds,wills,insurance,passports,etc.)take up room on top where most pistols would be.

I am going to buy one soon Researched Liberty's They look pretty good, and Walter Craigs down here in Montgomery seems to have a Safe sale every month

Wife bought me a cannon from tractor supply for my bday.I think its a 26 gun safe.I think i have 9 long guns,5 pistols,all my ammo and some paperwork in it and its FULL!..Still got guns hid in the house i cant get in it.I would get atleast a 48 gun safe+.With that said i love my safe and i think it was around 500 bucks.

Another thought, be sure to check the fire rating of the safe you are looking at. I have a safe to protect my valuables from fire as much as theft.

I have had the 54 gun model browning for years mow and have no complants> I hope i never have to move it again! basicly built the walk in closet around it dont know how i would ever get it out know if i had too!
