I have one in 7-08 for my kids........factory trigger sucks!! I just put a Timney trigger in it a couple weeks ago and it's so much better! The Axis was already a tack driver and even better with new trigger!

trimming one coil off the trigger spring makes a tremendous improvement. You can also replace that spring and thread in a allen bolt from lowes to adjust travel. There is a clip on Utube on how to do it and it tells allen bolt size etc to get.

You can also remove all the yellow glue from the spring hole then cut, grind or file away metal to make the trigger 1/2" it's original thickness at the spot where the spring threads in. this will allow you to adjust the sprong by turning it in deeper just as you would on the accu trigger. It also allows you to go back to the factory weight if you so chose. You cannot do that if you cut the spring. with a little polishing on the sear area and turning the spring in 1/2 - 1 turn you can get the trigger down to a crisp 3.5-4 lb

Helped a buddy sight in an Axis. Gun shot good but trigger was pushing on 10 lbs. We pulled the action and shortened the spring. Currently has a little creep and breaks at about 4 lbs. If I was going to replace the trigger, I'd just buy one with an accutrigger.
