I've known several of them. KNOWN, is the key word. I make it a point not to hang around douchebags, life is too short. Except for Josh. Exactly. I don't have any FRIENDS that are like this. Went to school with and worked with some but none were friends. Also, have a step-father-in-law that fits the above descriptions to a T. You can pick and choose friends....you are stuck with some family members unfortunately.

Work with a guy that is a "top that" and know it all type. I've been kayak fishing for quite a few years now, and he asked me about them a while back. Less than a week after he asked me about them, he comes back telling me how I'm not doing it right, and my kayaks aren't what I should be using... SMH... I really like the guy, he'd do anything in the world for you, but if you pick up a hobby and he finds out about it he's going to immediately know more about it and tell you what you're doing wrong...

I have friend that makes more money than anyone else I know, kills huge deer and turkey's, fishes all over the country, has a 1000 acres all to himself. But never has pictures of him with the deer or turkeys. And he is always to busy or has a family member with him hunting. On the opposite side, it makes you wonder how a low-paying state paid employee has rooms full of mounts from all over the world. A little back-scratchin maybe? typical jealous pathetic answer from an insecure little POS. If you're going to accuse someone of something say it loud and clear.....
I've spent most of the money I've made in my lifetime on hunting and fishing. The rest I just wasted.....

It's amazing at the jealousy that some people have of others. From my experience, when you have a "one-upper" on your hands, they typically have a small dick and can't back up anything they say.
When I find myself dealing with a jealous/one-upper, I go way over the top and tell them a story that is clearly full of fictitious information. That usually stops the conversation.

The one uppers are the ones that drive me up the wall. I know one guy that no matter what story you tell, his first words after the story are "Ive got one better than that". None of my friends are like this but boy have I known some guys like this. I used to know a guy that if you had just caught 12 bass he had recently caught 30. If you caught a 8 pound bass he had just caught two that weighed 12 apiece. If you had just killed a 190 pound 8 point, then he had just killed a 260 pound 12 point. If you were just getting over pneumonia that was nothing because he had just got over double pneumonia. I used to see that guy many years ago when I still worked construction. One day he walked past myself and a couple of other guys I was talking with on a jobsite. An old welder standing next to me pointed at him and said, "when they bury that one his headstone will read Here Lies The Truth". Knowing what a bragging liar the guy was we all looked at the old dude kind of funny until he finished by saying, "cause it sure as hell never came out of him while he was alive".
