A relative of mine is one that has never been hunting and not seen a good buck. Somehow he has never gotten one yet though. I've set with him and every leaf that hits the ground. Shhh. Here comes one. Get ready. Fishing. Every thing he bumps with his worm. Ohh. I just got a nice hit. He misses 50 or so fish every trip.

I have one that I love dearly that is a one upper. If I were to buy a brand new loaded up F250 4x4 crew cab king ranch with a 700 Polaris ranger in the back for cost ( which ain't going to happen ) and tell him the deal I got he would say " hell, that ain't nothing, I could get the same truck with two rangers at 20 % below cost. " SMH Gets on my last nerve.

I like the guys that 'pass-up' 140's and 150's all the time. But, when you look at their antler collection.....nothing in it scores over 120!!!! I know SEVERAL of those!

He use to crack me up with his great hunting stories of world record bucks he let walk back in the eighties when they lived in Montgomery county.

I had a buddy tell me one time that he worked 176 hours in one week. I told him that it was impossible, seeing as how there are only 168 hours in a week. I asked him if he meant that he worked 176 hours in one pay period (2 weeks), yet he swore up and down that he worked 176 hours in one week. I asked him if he worked 24 hours a day for 7 days in a row, and still managed to find an extra 8 hours to work. To top it all off, I asked him how much his paycheck was for the "176 hours" that he worked that week and he said before taxes it was right at $1200.

I have a really good friend that has a problem with exaggerating...I trust him about a lot of things, but have my doubts about many other things he says or does.
Over the years, I've learned what to believe him about and what not to believe. I call his bluff and give him hell when I know he's fibbing. He seems to be getting better about it, but I'm not sure it'll ever stop completely

The one uppers are the ones that drive me up the wall. I know one guy that no matter what story you tell, his first words after the story are "Ive got one better than that".

I've got a buddy that see's every creature in the woods on a sit. Bobcats, turkey's, a giant buck that was in the tree line and couldn't get a shot, doe's that blew because of a yote, on and on and on. Firing shot after shot and then him saying that he knows he hit that deer but not a drop of blood to be found. Which has happened on many, many occasions. He's just one excuse after another.
This guy also met a woman on line and set up a date with her one night after a hunt. We were staying in a hotel several hours from home and since she lived in this town he set up a meet. The next day we're riding back to the hunting grounds and I asked him how it went. He said he had never met a woman like her before and thought he was in love. I bout spit food out of my mouth laughing at him. Within a week he was saying I love you to her on the phone. Within a month they were married and he hasn't hunted and I haven't done anything with him since. That was 3 years ago. About a month after they were married he learned that she had been married FOUR times and he was the fifth. Husband number four had blown his head off with his hunting rifle so I make sure to ask him whenever I see him if he's feeling depressed.

I had a buddy that used to stretch the truth, tell fibs and just flat out lie. Well last January 15th his lies caught up with him and he took his own life. Aside from the lying he was a great person and would do anything in the world for a good friend and their families. I miss that bastard everyday and wish he was still here to tell me a couple lies.

I have a friend that likes to brag about killing deer at 500-600yds with his 30-06 742. Finally one day I had enough and took him to the range and asked him to tell me how far the targets were, he was off by 100-200yds at the least then I told him to shoot at the 600yd gong, it was bigger than a deer so he should have no problem hitting it, well after 10 shots he did not ring it one time. I told him that I would help him make those shots and really kill deer at 500yds but he would rather brag about shooting deer at 100 and calling it 500.
Keep your booger hooker off the bang switch.

I have friend that makes more money than anyone else I know, kills huge deer and turkey's, fishes all over the country, has a 1000 acres all to himself. But never has pictures of him with the deer or turkeys. And he is always to busy or has a family member with him hunting.
