You guys saying it is odd that he hasn't signed the contract must no do much negotiations. X2! He signed last years contract in March. I believe Sexton is trying to determine how much Saban is worth. That's what I would expect my agent to do as well.

I'm hoping the powers that be at Bammer have had enough of Sexton's bullshit. Maybe they will call his bluff and say "If you want to go, then do so". Sexton has got him a raise every year at Bama. I'm not saying it isn't deserved but it's getting old. Every year Sexton starts a rumor to get him a raise. Last year it was the Cleveland Browns had to have him. The year before it was Ohio State. The year before that Notre Dame. This isn't the first time Texas has been brought up. I'm sure there are others.
If he goes I'll shake his hand and thank him the next time I see him. He did a great job and definitely will leave Bama better than he found it.
It is getting old and it pains me to think that this crap will play out at the end of each and every season. Anyhoo... He is hardly a gypsy these days. As a matter of fact, we can compare if you want. Lets go back to 2005 - that was Malzahn's first year as a college coach. Hell, I'll even throw in an extra 10 years for Saban. If we look at how many coaching jobs they have had, here are the results: Saban since 1995 (4) Michigan State, LSU, Miami Dolphins, Alabama Malzahn since 2005(5) Arkansas, Tulsa, Auburn, Arkansas State, Auburn

I dont think he will leave. and as for the contract the last one was given to him at the end of the year and he didnt sign it till march so dont buy into the whole contract deal. since he dont have a buy out doesnt matter if he signs ot or not.

You bammmers act like its a new deal. The only thing that changes are the terms and the money. Sexton could approve it in an hour.
No way in hell it takes that mnuch time to review...see Gus Malzhan. He sticks his head in and says "let's get it done" and it got done.
The reason it is different than last time is because the UT job will be open, and they want him badly. They are appreciating him so to speak....

I don't know. He is reportedly in Texas recruiting. Brown is in Florida recruiting. I think Saban is waiting on Brown to decide what he's gonna do. Brown is an icon in Texas, I'm sure Saban wouldn't want it to look like a hostile take over of Texas. Something is fishy, that's for sure.
