I'm not a huge fan of Outback, but my wife loves their frozen margarita's and coconut shrimp, so we go from time to time. I've never understood why anyone buys someone a gift card. Their's more thought in cash. You can go anywhere with cash, but they force you to go where they want you to go, with a gift card. Gift cards are stupid. People drive to a store to buy a card for someone, then gives them the card and forces them to go where they want you to go. Cash is king! Yet to find anybody who doesn't like cash.

Had not been there in years, but tried the Outback in HSV about 2 months ago. I thought it was just okay. Service was good, but then there couldn't have been more than 2 dozen folks in the place.
IMO, for a really good chain restaurant steak, O'Charley's does a fine job with their Louisiana sirloin.
The left lane is for the the purpose of moving the flow of traffic forward regardless of the speed limit. If your impeding the flow of traffic get your ass in the right lane. It's really that simple...

Not a fan of their steaks but I like their Alice Springs Chicken pretty well.

Those chains are all the same to me... Outback, Logans, Roadhouse, etc. If I eat at one it is usually Longhorns... they are slightly better IMO.

had my worst ever dining experience a couple years ago at Texas Roadhouse in Pelham. It was lousy service and terrible food. I normally dont complain about food, I just know not to return. Meal and all were free and were given a free meal for the next visit. Came back 3 days later to cash it in. Food and service was even worse than the first time. Havent been back.

My experience with Outback has been hit or miss. I've had some good meals there, but mostly not so good. Had a really good shrimp dish there once, so the next time I went I ordered the same thing. It tasted like it had been frozen and heated in a microwave. The one in Tuscaloosa tried to serve my BIL on cut of roast for a steak one night. They didn't know he coached kids for meat judging competitions.

WTH did you eat for $25? I go to the one in Hoover all the time and I can eat the Outback special and get out for less than $17.

We went to the one on Lakeshore (Homewood) a while back, service was terrible & food cold when we got it. I thought it was a bad idea before we stopped.

I have never had a bad meal at outback. And I've never had a good one! I've been about 5 times to various locations. Never been impressed. I've decided it hard to beat my steaks on my grill at my house and all w/o the $50+ price tag. I don't have to stand in line or put up with some kids crappy attitude because he's having to work instead to hangin with his buds. Btw, there is a slaughter house in Henegar that also has a fresh meat counter. Will cut to your likes. Never frozen steaks are the stuff.

Have eaten at the one in Fultondale and no complaints from me and my family. Food has been very good as well as service each time we have visited.
