Went to Outback in the Shoals area today, & I was reminded why I haven't been there in years. Food was lousy, & seriously overpriced. I had a $25 gift card, I was eating by myself & it took the whole card. I could think of 1/2 dozen places I'd rather eat at. My family loves Texas Roadhouse. Any opinions on Outback?

The wife and me ate there about a year ago. Took a long time to get food and both steaks were cold over cooked. Just calmly mentioned it to our waitress and we got our meal for free. appetizers meal and pie all on the house.

It's always crowded out & I can't figure out what for? Somebody must know about something good they have to order, I haven't found it yet!

Not a fan either because I can cook a steak better than they can.

Its best to avoid the chains if you can because its always a crap shoot if its going to be good or not. They have such a high employee turnover that even your local one that you love will turn to garbage the next week.

Agree. I will say I've never had a bad experience at Outback though.

We used to eat there a bit, but kind of backed off. We've got a good Longhorn Steakhouse here in Huntsville, and that's where we've been when we do actually go out for a steak. These days, however, if we want steak I usually cook them at the house.

I've never been to a bad Outback?

I do refuse to go back to Logan's or Texas Roadhouse.

I usually am disappointed when I eat steak out. But i took a chance at Applebees on the Bourbon St. steak. Got the garlic mashed potatoes instead of the roasted potatoes that come with it. I think I am addicted now. For the price I don't think you can beat it!!
