Me being in my stand seems to slow them down. ^^^This...and whether or not you do a 'victory dance' of epic proportions.

All kidding aside, their stomach. Me and Kbush were talking and he made the comment "they are just a damn goat. Every 4 hours or so they ARE going to eat, period." I agree, Whether that means eating within 5 yards or 500 of their bedding areas, well thats the magic question. You answer that and you will make millions.
EDIT Thats why there are so many hunting "truths" I.E. oh deer feed in the rain, they like cold overcast days, they still move if its hot, only mid day during a full moon, the list is endless. thats because at some point someone is going to see deer in every condition and claim its "the time" when in reality deer are just doing what they do when they want to do it.

I read somewhere that the average deer REQUIRES at least 7 lbs of food a day

post a picture or he isn't real solunar tables not! Pressure, Wind/Temp, Rut.
On private land with few hunters- normal routine- eat, bed, move round every 4 hours, bed back down, chase/sex, repeat.
I can set my watch by deer movement at my place. If the wind is right old grandad will come out mid morning eat blackberry vines, bed down and watch other deer. Cant get him any closer than 300yrds, except on camera at 2 am- then he is 30 yrds from my stand! same pattern repeated last few years. old grandad is about 6-7 yr old 11 pt.

Moon, keep in mind lunar change is what triggers rut...happens same time every year...weather does somewhat...rain and wind does a bunch...funny is that when its freezing cold, teens...I see fewer deer in the early mornings...but I do like to rattle on the cold still mornings

Lunar change triggers the rut?????
"Why do you ask"?
Too many people spend money they don't have , on things they don't need, to impress people they don't know.

I pretty much drive the same route everyday at about he exact some times. 1 week I'll see the deer in the evenings, then another week in the mornings. Another week, I see them morning and afternoon. The last week I don't see them at all. I've been told they are out there mid day usually when I don't see them.
I'm going with lunar then weather, this is an area that is not hunted right off the hwy.
It's rare that all are out there at the same time, as the group usually varies in size. Mature bucks show up at the right time.

I have noticed that I typically see more deer movement during a waxing crescent moon. I also see more deer movement just before a strong front comes thru.
I believe they get up and move around to feed, crap or piss every 4-6 hours. I watched a 6 point the Tuesday before Thanksgiving when it was pouring rain, feed in the field beside my house at 8AM. I seen him again at 12:15 PM, just as the rain let up some.
I'm sure alot of that same stuff affects mature bucks movement the same as it does other deer, but I think the one thing that affects a mature bucks movement more than anything else is the rut.

Pressure. Unpressured deer are a totally different species than what we hunt in Alabama.

The most limited resource.
Could be food, does, unpressured area/time or some other things.

Sex- aka the rut! You didnt get it but once a year see how much you will move in a day and on top of that you can forget about much to eat or sleep. keep on moving looking for that 1 min thrill ride!
