So who all is hunting opening day? I'm taking off Tuesday and Wednesday. Then I'll hunt again Saturday morning. My setup Tuesday morning is in a white oak thicket with acorns falling. Killed a big doe in the same spot early in the bow season last year. Hoping for the same result. Weather forecast looks good so far.

I have to work Tuesday so it looks like Wednesday will be my first hunt and I'm headed to my 80 ac honey hole here in town. I'll probably hunt back here again Friday afternoon and then on Saturday head over to Jackson county. Good luck to you JA!

I plan on taking off Wednesday and Thursday. I am already off Tuesday. I should be in the woods Tuesday Wednesday Thursday and Friday morning. Not sure where I will be hunting. I won't decide that till the night before once I have a better idea of wind and what the weather will be like.

Got us a few more points!! Smoked a big doe yesterday at 6:10p. Shot her a little far back and didn't get a clean pass thru. Trailed her right at 300yds but we found her. Good start to the season!

Not a huge deer but just the kind we want to take early season. She came in with another doe about 9:15. She turned broadside at 20 yards and I smoked her double lung shot. She just stood there at first them ran about five yards and stopped again and looked around. She ran about 40 more yards and piled up. The other doe just stood there and watched the whole thing. About an hour earlier I had 3 bucks come right up under my stand and start feeding, a spike, 3pt and 5 pt. The 5 pt had 4 symmetrical points on the right but only one long single spike on the left. I was going to shoot him for a cull but he never gave me a shot. Gotta love some bow hunting.
