If your neighbor has livestock, and they get out of the fence and come over on your land......hunting or not. Do you shoot it. A few cows could mess up your hunt. Gonna kill them?
I wouldn't shoot a dog unless I thought it was going to harm me.
Not at all, but if those cows are messing up my stuff day after day for long enough, at some point I'm going to be eating steak.
Same deal with dogs. A man shouldn't shoot a dog the first time he sees it or if it has a name collar call the guy but if it becomes a problem and there seems to be no other way to deal with it, a bullet is highly likely and IMHO justified.
