you have no room to complain should your animals get shot or killed by other means while not on your property. That is life.
You cannot use your property to injure or limit the use and enjoyment of property owned by others not yourself. That is the old English Common Law and underpins all U.S. property law today.
I have had issues similar in the past. While trapping coyotes some years back, a neighbor's bird dogs and labs didnt fare so well in my Duke traps. I had told the neighbor I was trapping and I had told him all his dogs were on my game cams, and to please see to it they didnt come on my property from Sept1 - Feb 1 as I was preparing then hunting deer, squirrel etc...
Tried to be civil as could be. You cant be careless with your property by allowing your property to injury or limit my use and enjoyment of my private property.
