I'll explain it to ya, like this. If you love your dog, keep him on YOUR LAND! I got rid of my rabbit dogs 2 years ago. I loved my dogs, not yours. You have every right to own a dog, just keep him off my property. I have the right to not have a dog. Pet owners like you make me sick. They move to the country, they turn their dogs loose and don't care where they go, and what they do. Every day your pet makes his rounds, sometimes he'll pick up a buddy or two along the way. I've seen them cover several miles in a day. All they do is cover every inch of a place, looking for something to get into. I'd rather have deer dogs on my place. They are looking for deer scent, when they find it, they'll chase it and be gone, not lingering for hours. By the time you get up, get you a cup of coffee and walk out onto the porch, there's ole' scruffy under the truck. You look at him and say, man what lazy dog. Not realizing he's been off ruining someone's hunt somewhere. My neighbor where i live has finally come to an understanding. Keep his dog the hell off my property, and i won't trap him in steel traps. Once he found out that i had steel traps on my property, then he put in a underground wire fence. Owning a pet, takes responsibility, just like having kids. The ones who don't take responsibility, need to be held accountable. Really aggravates me, when i hear people say i own 40 acres and i'm not going to keep my dog in a fence. Ok, then get rid of the damn dog! Sorry guys, but this struck a cord with me. This same neighbor has 40 acres. I asked him, why dont you put them in the pasture with your horses? He said, well i don't want them to chase them around.Really? What about the game on my property, i don't want them chasing it around either.
