I live on 96 acres and when I had dogs they stayed in kennels unless someone was out with them. I did that out of respect for my dogs life and the neighbors��� My wife let one of her dogs out one time and left it out while she went inside for a few hours. When the dog did not come back I went to look for it after work. I found it about twenty yards off the road on the other end of our property with what looked like a 22 bullet hole in it. I buried the dog and never told my wife about the hole. Was I a little mad�.yes, but that is why my dog was never let to run loose because I know how people can be. If they will rob and kill people just for the hell of it what makes anyone think an animal is safe! If a pet is truly like one of my kids I will keep just as good a watch on them as I do my kids. That being said people should not be shooting peoples pets for no reason, but it amazes me in these days and times when someone lets their animals run loose at will and they are surprised when something happens to them. Just my 2 cent�
