Same goes with the Ahole who shoots his pistols shotguns and rifles 500 times right at dark every weekend afternoon. Folks today just are more out of tune with the way it used to be!

Yep. exactly. Just last week I was letting a friend hunt. I went to talk to a tenant and deal with a problem ( they had a snake get into their house...shes an older women and was afraid of it..black racer by the way). She told me a dog kept coming up to her house and scaring her and her little poodle. The dang dog had actually jumped up to get her dog in the window and broken the dang window.

While we were talking... we hear a noise in the woods...here comes a fawn running like heck...and this big shepard pit bull mix right behind it! I knew it was my neighbors dog..so I ran it off by yelling.

A little later after dealing with the snake..and the broken window...here he come again chasing another deer!

And I mean to kill it...then go find another deer and KILL it...thats THE GAME THEY PLAY the OP was talking about..great game huh?
Well I had my pistol and fired into the ground to stop it and run it off.
I then go down the road to the neighbor. He WAS appoligetic I must admit...however I could hear his dang mongrel going thru the woods chasing deer and barking...and could TELL he was going to run by the stand my friend was in, which is half a mile from the tenants house and across the dang street!

I called my friend and told him DONT SHOOT THE DANG DOG...and just in time..as he was fixing to! he said three deer came running by him..and here was that same dog right behind them!

So this dog had broken my window (an insulated gas filled double hang...145 dollars to fix) as well as chased NO LESS then 5 different deer on my property in the time id been there!

I saw yesterday that he took my advise and had his dog tied in his 1/2 acre lot.

I still didnt shoot his dang mongrel but that dog cost me 145 bucks from North Alabama glass in fixing the window...and had literally pressured and disturbed half my property.
I gave him the dang bill for the window by the way...he said he will pay it but I havent seen a cent yet.

I hate irresponsible pet owners like that. And those dogs KILL deer and just leave them..Ive found deer like that in the woods and it really PISSES me off. At least coyotes kill then EAT them. Those strays just kill for the fun of it.

Some GAME huh? great fun unless your the deer!

I have always kept my dogs on a run, it irritates me to no end to see other people's dogs come into my yard, one day I'm going to get enough of it and let my dog go where she wants, but of course they will complain and kill my dog. I normally throw a rock at the dog(s) but it has gotten old they just come back later.

Get a wrist rocket slingshot for 'em if you can't shoot 'em or don't want to.

People pay alot of money and time into a lease so most are going to shoot first and thats not going to change anytime soon. still dont make it right or wrong.but i dont shoot them unless they are going to hurt me or my family and yes that sometimes ones that looks like they are about to. i shot some pit bulls on my land one time cause they were running towards me and my 3 year old girl and i wasnt going to wait and see what they were going to do when they got to us.

100% correct . lots of people simply have no paticence or tolerence for other peoples dogs being on their land or lease. this is not going to change. many people WILL NOT put up with other peoples dogs running around on their property. all i can say is if you are going to shoot someones dog you should at least make sure that you kill it DRT. it is simply awful to let some loving dog owner or child have their dog come home shot! if you do you must be prepared to deal with the consequences of your actions!

I have 40 acres where I live so does a lot of other people where I live. I have and do keep my dogs on my property with a fence they don't get off my property. I have in the past and sure I will in the future have dogs come on to my property and kill chickens tear up my stuff and generally be a pain in my rear end. This has not and will not be tolerated on my property. If you love your dog keep them on your property or they may not come home one day. It is insane to have an animal that you claim to love but you let it roam all over the country. To have enough land so your dog never gets off your property without a fence you would have to have a lot of land.

I've killed several dogs for running our cattle. I don't mean out in the pasture, I mean running our cattle to the point that the cows are fatigued and/or running them through a fence. Some have had collars, some haven't. They bother the cows, they get shot. Simple as that.

The only other dog I have killed was not running cattle, but it charged me growling and barking in the middle of our largest hay field.

To my knowledge I've never killed a hunting dog even though I've had them run by my stand.

I doubt Hollywuds little dog was causing too much of a problem wherever it was when it was shot, but there are folks who move out in the country and let their big dogs run wild too. When your big dog starts running peoples livestock, it's gonna get shot. People need to understand that too.

I live on 96 acres and when I had dogs they stayed in kennels unless someone was out with them. I did that out of respect for my dogs life and the neighbors My wife let one of her dogs out one time and left it out while she went inside for a few hours. When the dog did not come back I went to look for it after work. I found it about twenty yards off the road on the other end of our property with what looked like a 22 bullet hole in it. I buried the dog and never told my wife about the hole. Was I a little mad.yes, but that is why my dog was never let to run loose because I know how people can be. If they will rob and kill people just for the hell of it what makes anyone think an animal is safe! If a pet is truly like one of my kids I will keep just as good a watch on them as I do my kids. That being said people should not be shooting peoples pets for no reason, but it amazes me in these days and times when someone lets their animals run loose at will and they are surprised when something happens to them. Just my 2 cent

It's called overpopulation. 40 years ago we would not be having this conversation. It was understood, if your dog is on my property then it may get shot. If it did then your neighbor understood thats the way it is. No arguing, no problem, no lawsuit and no buttwhopping like someone said. We are quickly becoming like Europe as we get more and more populated. It's as if people care more about their dogs than each other or their property.

It wasn't that way here 40 years ago.

I live in the country, I own 76 acres, my father in law owns another 20 or so next to me, guy across the road has 150 or so. Neighbors up the road have smaller pieces. We all see one another dogs from time. All hunt and help each other out when we need it.

If our dogs bother one another we go to the person. My neighbors dog got after my chickens, I didn't kill it we told him and it didn't happen again.

This is how it was 40 years ago around here also.
people looked out for one another. If they had a problem with a dog they didn't kill it they went to the owner.

LOL...Thats funny...if there was a chicken chasing dog it didn't last until sundown. No one could afford to have a dog like that. Maybe you lived in the rich part of the country. True and I agree, we looked out for one another and that included not whopping someone's butt or having someone arrested for shooting a roaming dog. A roaming dog was a nuisance and it served no purpose and noone could afford it. Another thing you never saw back then was an inside dog. Dogs had fleas/ticks and could have diseases plus they caused allergies. They belong outside.

You don't have to believe it. I can't do a thing about that, I didn't kill the dog. They got rid of it after I told them. We had these neighbors over for supper last night. Keeping a good relationship with my neighbors is what is important to me. I was raised this way and taught this by my grandmother who was born at the turn of the century. I'm raising my kids this way. We put people first because it's the right thing.

That's exactly right. If everyone was a good neighbor and was willing to take responsibility for their dogs, instead of having the attitude that their dogs have a right to do whatever they please, there wouldn't be any problems.

When I pay $2500 a year to hunt, and I'm in the middle of my 950 acres and a mongrel comes through ruining my hunt. I think about shooting him. I really do. I never have though. Could be a kids pet. That's what I tell myself. Now my hunting partner, he will drop em in their tracks. Last year we had a MAJOR problem with this Pit Bull. We even went to the owner twice about it. He told us it was a free country. Wrong answer!!! My buddy , in all his infinite wisdom. Shot the dog in the head , wrapped the corpse in a burlap bag, wired a note to the bag that said "FREE COUNTRY DEAD DOG" and dropped the dog off at the owners mailbox about midnight. Needless to say , the following weekend we got a visit from the Co Sherriff. The officer said they couldn't prove anything , but I'm sure if the owner really wanted to push it he would have gotten in a world of trouble. I told him if he ever shot another dog , I would personally turn him in.

To the OP. You sir are a moron.
