Were in the same boat OutdoorObsession you have to deal with in Law Co same way I do across the river in Limestone Co these 1/2 acre folks from town that move out think they have a god given right to tromp anywhere they want and let their half breed mutts run and bark all through our properties. Same goes with the Ahole who shoots his pistols shotguns and rifles 500 times right at dark every weekend afternoon. Folks today just are more out of tune with the way it used to be!
Yep. exactly. Just last week I was letting a friend hunt. I went to talk to a tenant and deal with a problem ( they had a snake get into their house...shes an older women and was afraid of it..black racer by the way). She told me a dog kept coming up to her house and scaring her and her little poodle. The dang dog had actually jumped up to get her dog in the window and broken the dang window.
While we were talking... we hear a noise in the woods...here comes a fawn running like heck...and this big shepard pit bull mix right behind it! I knew it was my neighbors dog..so I ran it off by yelling.
A little later after dealing with the snake..and the broken window...here he come again chasing another deer!
And I mean to kill it...then go find another deer and KILL it...thats THE GAME THEY PLAY the OP was talking about..great game huh?
Well I had my pistol and fired into the ground to stop it and run it off.
I then go down the road to the neighbor. He WAS appoligetic I must admit...however I could hear his dang mongrel going thru the woods chasing deer and barking...and could TELL he was going to run by the stand my friend was in, which is half a mile from the tenants house and across the dang street!
I called my friend and told him DONT SHOOT THE DANG DOG...and just in time..as he was fixing to! he said three deer came running by him..and here was that same dog right behind them!
So this dog had broken my window (an insulated gas filled double hang...145 dollars to fix) as well as chased NO LESS then 5 different deer on my property in the time id been there!
I saw yesterday that he took my advise and had his dog tied in his 1/2 acre lot.
I still didnt shoot his dang mongrel but that dog cost me 145 bucks from North Alabama glass in fixing the window...and had literally pressured and disturbed half my property.
I gave him the dang bill for the window by the way...he said he will pay it but I havent seen a cent yet.
I hate irresponsible pet owners like that. And those dogs KILL deer and just leave them..Ive found deer like that in the woods and it really PISSES me off. At least coyotes kill then EAT them. Those strays just kill for the fun of it.
