I used to have a small 40 lease I hunted. Saw some labs while hunting. Drove around the closest street to the land the next day to see if I could see the labs. I saw them and stopped to tell the owners I saw them while hunting and that they had run deer off. I was immediately accused of hunting to close to a street. It was 325 yards from the closest property line to the field/ powerline. A week later I saw them again. Told them again. Third time I saw them I called a sheriff to file a leash law violation. Upon telling tje officer where the guy lived I found out he was an assistant d.a.!!!! That was during bow season. Fast forward to jan and I'm on the way back from boligee and the landowner calls telling me he just got off the phone with the assistant d.a. and he just informed him I killed his dog...... I was in a different area code!! I get home and call the guy and he tells me he heard me shoot and saw me leave in s vehicle I have never seen. He was asked 3 times by me and supposedly served a warning ( doubt that happened) and unfortunately due to his ignorance/ above the law attitude, he supposedly lost a dog.
Give me bout 15 more minutes, I was dreamin about beavers.......... Si Robertson
