Were in the same boat OutdoorObsession you have to deal with in Law Co same way I do across the river in Limestone Co these 1/2 acre folks from town that move out think they have a god given right to tromp anywhere they want and let their half breed mutts run and bark all through our properties. Same goes with the Ahole who shoots his pistols shotguns and rifles 500 times right at dark every weekend afternoon. Folks today just are more out of tune with the way it used to be!
Exactly the reason I posted "the times they are a changin'" above. Years ago where I live was "the country", I live on the farm my granddaddy bought when his other one was "taken " by TVA for lake Guntersville. He ran cattle when I was younger. If dogs were running his cattle they got the wrath of the model 12, no questions. If he knew it 's was a neighbors dog he MIGHT give them one chance and tell them they better keep their cattle running dogs up. He wouldn't shoot one just walking across the pasture, if it wasn't bothering the cattle. Heck, he burned mine with birdshot for chasin' chickens!
Now there's many more families and houses in the area, I'm afraid Mr. Robert's model 12 would stay very busy now and the dog owners wouldn't be very understanding. Good thing the place is row cropped now, don't guess dogs can hurt a tractor or combine.
