Just caught two more in a trap. A local friend went and got them out and reset it for me. Would be so cool to catch again in the same night.
The pigs are starting to hit the traps more now. You can tell the seasons are changing.

297 now. We did catch 4 boars this weekend.
Finally got up all the traps on the new property. Had pigs in 4 traps last night but we didn't catch them yet. Checking out the sounder size.

I didn't do as good this year. The high water really knocked a dent in the population in the lower river swamps this year. I think I am in the low 180's right now. Probably won't get many more....

Acorns are gonna slow you up for a while. But, you know that. Late Jan/early Feb is when the traps will absolutely wear them out!

We have been selling alot of traps lately. Folks are slowly figuring this pig trapping thing out. Depending on the acorn crop in the area, Dec - May is good trapping time. Once things green up real good or farmers start planting it slows down. But, that is where the thermal optics come in! Going to be fun.
I still owe you a thermal hunt next spring, just say when.
