deadeye, Only one of my rifles, my son's Rem mdl. 72 bolt has dovetails. That is a problem...or can be.

Cool guns you mention ! I had a 510 Target Master but I traded it and another single shot for a Winchester pump action repeater...and I regret it. Those little target models are inherently accurate.

My dream collection would include classic .22 military trainers (in near mint condition, of course) with bull barrels. A US Model 44 bolt would be nice.

I had an opportunity to buy a fancy grade Remington Model 12C...with a fancy stock, inlays, and a mint Lyman aperture sight..all original to the piece. Even thee original purchase papers from the factory were included. The price asked (then/1995) was $750. I talked the guy down to $650 but backed off because it was a mint collectors' piece, and I wanted to hunt with it. (bad choice on my part) It was graded in Mint condition...99% intact bluing.

Do you or anyone know where I can buy an original barrel for a Winchester Model 6 ?
