My wife and I are thinking of going to the Excellence Resort in the Dominican (Punta Cana) with some friends next year. None of us have ever been there, just wondering if anybody here has ever been there? Lot of money to spend with no knowledge of the place!

I lived there when I was a kid. It was a craphole back then. But, I am planing a trip there next spring break. I know several people that have been and they all say it is beautiful.
