They tend to get heavy, and if not cleaned properly will jam on shot #2. If I were still toten a slip-o-matic, it would be a true Belgian BAR, nothin' else is close.
To my knowledge, every BAR that has ever been made was made in Belgium. My shorttrac is about 10 years old and it was made in Belgium...so are the newer ones....they are a HELL of a lot lighter than the older ones too. Mine will shoot way better than 1.5" at 100 yards too and will run through anything I put in it as long as I keep it clean and lightly oiled. Trigger job and you're good to go. I like it for the way we hunt up here in hillbilly country.

After '76 they were assembled in Portugal and were stamped on the barrel. Love those super fine, fold down sights on the true Belgium guns. Are new ones made by FN?
