This is not a club, just friends leasing the property. 500 acre, trophy managed close to Sipsey river, will be 4 total members. Electric only Westervelt property and has been managed for several years. $1482.50 plus seed and fertilizer. PM if interested.

That is per person. We lease from Westervelt and they charge a premium for river bottom property with duck hunting.

Duck hunting? Westervelt just wanted another reason to jack up prices. There ain't no ducks in Tuscaloosa. Just wood ducks.

I will agree it is high but low pressure, quality deer and being close to town is worth it for me. Evidently you must not know what kind of deer are killed on the Sipsey, on our place and around us.

I use to hunt in Shirley's Bridge hunting club. You might see a couple mallards. But it's nothing like hunting in MS.

This is actually the southern part of old Shirley's bridge HC. There isn't any place in Alabama that has mallards like Mississippi or Arkansas, but yes we have plenty of mallards and teal.

My ex boss has a place on the sipsey around aliceville and they killed some good deer but they do feed high protein all summer.

Quality and quantity of animals on the west side if Tuscaloosa county is waaaaay better than the north and east side. This should be a good setup. Surprised someone hasn't jumped in yet. Good luck

I have actually hunted on this piece of property as a guest back when it was part of SBHC during the early to mid 80's.

I drive by it every day going to work.

I had a chance to lease it a couple of years ago before ABG & friends got it but just did not want to give up another place for this one. I could not financially afford two different places to hunt.

I have seen Game Camera PICS of bucks on this place.

There are some nice ones around for sure. thumbup

I agree with you on the deer being bigger in north tuscaloosa, but there is good hunting in the area he's talking about

Thanks Cuz-Pat! We are trying to make it into a little piece of paradise. We just need one more person to share this property with. I wish your nephew would get off his tight wallet.

Really?... What made you decide that you should even comment? I must have missed the part where you are the Tuscaloosa county deer authority. My apologies...
