set up a hog pen last saturday and got it baited up. will set the gate later after the pigs start to feed. the rooter gate is 3 drop down panels held up by a frame. you can attach a wire or rope to the frame and when pulled back it drops the gates. after being released, they can root into the pen but not go back out. i've seen several set ups that involve a rooter stick with a cord attached and some water jugs. i guess this keeps the cord from being tangled up with live pigs running around.
