Imo its like this. If your the land owner /farmer there is a problem even if there is just one hog on your property. If your a hunter looking for land with alot of hogs then there is not a hog problem in most places. I have cought close to a dozen in a morning with dogs on 600 acres but most of the time it seems like we're a day late and a dollar short and can't even find fresh sign. There are not as many hogs around here as there was but I have believe there are more than there was in others. There is no where in Calhoun county that has a severe hog problem especially the wma. Sure they are there but few and far between. Now the rivers in southern Alabama are a different story.
