Get in your car and drive thru Port St Joe, explore Capt San Blast. Drive to Applach and eat some oysters, and drink more beer. Charter a boat and go fishing. Since you're taking the bikes...ride on down a little farther south one day and check out St. George Island, while you're down there. Wasn't that many years ago the island was uninhabited, except by an old lighthouse (automated)and a ton of misc. wildlife...now it's grown into a real nice small community. The lighthouse toppled during a hurricane a few years back, but has been restored and has a museum...a pretty place, all in all, that you shouldn't miss since you're going to be in the area, anyway.

If you bike down to Indian Pass near the boat ramp and campground and plan on being there through late afternoon, take some strong DEET bug spray with you. Yellow flies, mosqitoes and sand gnats can turn that trip into a miserable experience. The first time I docked a boat there it sounded like a .22 going off, all the people slapping bugs.

Dog flies got bad while we were there at times. You could spray them with Deep Woods Off and it didn't faze them.

Don't forget the beer Steinhatchee is next to heaven for me. My grandparents lived there when I was growing up.
