Just wanting to get some reports on rut activity/sign from around the state I am hunting shelby county and have yet to find a scrape or rub. What is everyone else seeing and where?

Same thing in Marion Co. It should start picking up in the next week or so.

I'm in Colbert county. I've been finding rubs and scrapes for about 3 weeks. I had two small bucks chase a doe by my stand last Thursday.

i looked at Versus.com website yesterday for the rut report and WOW they are waaaay off! showing North Alabama in post rut activity. i have been keeping a log of rutting sighns around the house for the last few seasons and i start seeing rubbing more frequent at the end of December and scrapes are abundant around the 11th of January and continues into February in my neck of the woods.
Rifle....not in my hunting vocabulary!

I hit a buck tonight, or actually it hit me, with it's nose to the road and focused on one thing. This was on the cullman/winston co. line.

Found the first scrapes of the year yesterday on our place in north Tallapoosa county. Won't be long now.

Watched a young 6 point make a scrape and a rub yesterday at our place in Montgomery. With the cold weather and snow coming in for Christmas it will make for some fun huntin this weekend.

Just wanted to bring this back up for some updates. I killed a six point in Chilton county on December 29 that was swollen neck, dark hocks, and rank. What is everyone else seeing?

Where I hunt in the northern part of Tuscaloosa County, does are just now starting to come it... and we're hearing chasing in the mornings.
