By no means am I claiming this to be representative of all metal roofs.
We put a metal roof on our house in Nov of the year. We have our power bill set up to pay the avg each month. The next year we paid the avg thru Oct when we received a letter from the power company telling us to pay a reduced rate for Nov and nothing for Dec. And they were sending us an overpayment check for the close of the year. We got a check for about $800. Great Christmas present.
Part of it could have been a mild year, I don't remember. But, there is no doubt the metal roof was a big player in the game.
We got the dark green color. Just liked the way it looks.
