I got to buy a new weedeater and I'm tired of all these that only last a couple of years.
I narrowed it down to these three. All are with in $20 of each other so price is not really the issue.

I think most will say stihl, but I have an echo and I love it!

I've a Stihl that's 20 years old, won't die. I'd take a look at Echo if I were to buy a new one, but would probably go back with a Stihl. Echo does make some mighty fine products.

I have an Echo and it is great, I really like the Echo Rapid Loader spool it has. Of course you couldn't go wrong with a Stihl either.

I've had stihl and echo, i like stihl but its close enough, I have a friend that works for Aspludh, as for chainsaw he says nothing but stihl.

Have a 3 yr old Echo, use it hard. Use only ethanol free gas. First use in mid April this year...Turn switch on, pump bulb, set choke, 2 pulls it cranks...let it idle about 10 seconds...Go at it...it had been sitting in shop since Nov
Fixing to use it shortly

I've ran both and the Stihl's are still alive and well. I even bought a residential Stihl, FS55 which I hoped would last atleast 2 seasons. I cut alot of grass in to pay for my hobbies. I've now been using it 5yrs and only had one issue with it. Still has the original plug. The issue was a clogged exhaust that took 5mins to fix. I've also got a FS90 that I rarly use due to the weight but if the FS55 dies, then I will use it. I'm PRO Stihl all the way. And it may not be that big a deal, but all my Stihl tools have never had anything but Stihl oil in them. It may not matter but I believe in it too.

Any of them will be fine as long as you use don't use ethanol in them. That being said I have an echo that I have abused for I think 8 years now and it still runs like a new one.

After years of abuse, bad gas, bent shaft, the only work I have done on one of my Stihls was replace a primer bulb. I straightened the shaft myself. My other Stihl had the spark arrester removed when it clogged up. They both will crank in one pull after setting up all winter. I cannot imagine how long they will last if I were to treat them right.

I went with the husky so my current attachments would still work. Had it for about 1.5mths now and it runs like a top.
used it a dozen times or more and it has started no problem.
I know I haven't had it long enough to give a complete review, but so far I have been very pleased with the power and engine

Echo' s are heavy and underpowered. Stihl's are heavy but good all around. Husqvarna's are much lighter and very strong.
