Way to go guys!!!! I'm still in kid guiding mode at the moment, but I have done a little bit of scouting and found a few decent bucks looking forward toward the rut. The one time I did get out with a gun by myself, I could have killed a couple of does but it was ultra early in the morning AND I thought I might could get my youngest son on those deer within close range so I didn't shoot. I'll for sure get us a doe soon and probably have a decent chance of killing a good buck this year with more time to hunt than I've had in the last several years. I'll keep ya'll posted. Let's win this thing!

Had to double check but yelp team 9,crosstac or something similar was on here too and maybe truetalker if that helps any.I think my pic of the 30pt was lost in all this confusion,does he count still.

Baitstop, you sure you're on Team 9...I thought you were on the team with Preacher311... I have been wrong a lot this past week though... Yes peckerhead, he was on our team and he's a ringer for an 8 point plus. Move along midget boy before you end up toting an arse whippin for trying to steal one of our guys.

So, I just now got back on the forum since the old one nuked. Anyway, looks like I've got some familiarizing to do. Oh, yea, about hunting - most of mine has been sitting with my son trying to get his first but all the dang deer in Madison county are nocturnal. I am going this Friday (all day!) and hopefully will be trimming out backstraps by lunchtime.

I was disappointed in the ground shrinkage, but it is the biggest racked buck I've ever taken. After moving here from Florida it was hard to get out of the mode of taking out everything I see.

Gonna give it a try this evening,I'll have the nephews,one sitting with me but.....if it's bigger than any I've killed I shoot other than that my nephew get's it...Should be a good evening since the moon is dropping,post up tomorrow.
