My wife got into the action but didn't want her picture posted. Her setup with me over her shoulder doing some coaching/harassing. She had it handled despite my yacking. This hunt started at 2 pm when we were dropped off. It took us 30 minutes to walk into the area because we had to stay in the bottom and run the creek to keep from spooking birds. We got up in the field and settled in thinking we were going to be there a while. I hear a turkey gobble and he's right down the creek. I did a little calling and 20 minutes later him and a buddy were strutting beside my DSD. She smoked him at 35 yards.
"Some men are mere hunters; others are turkey hunters."
