I think all my turkeys started using sign language i aint heard one LMAO! Hang in there dude! Mine are just starting to gobble a little bit. Had 2 older club members in my spot this morning or I feel like I would've got us another one! I'm pretty sure I will have MsN40 back on the gun in the morning so yall say a prayer for her tonight! Lol! She's still mighty frustrated over the miss opening weekend and is out for a little vengence!

I've been all over birds I just can't close the deal. Had one yesterday at 70 and a hen come in a tool him away plus a bad setup didn't help. Today I had 4 at 100 yards putting on a show for 2 hours but wouldn't budge. Hens took them away. Got on a hot one this afternoon around 2 and had him at 50 for 30 minutes but wouldn't clear a hill for a shot. These mountain birds are tough, they kicking my tail this year.

Same story different day Saturday. Got one 1 had him at 50 just below a hill an he wouldn't come up. Hen came up but he didn't follow her, she got a little spooked and putted and took off back towards him but he gobbled. I ended up bumping them trying to sneak down hill. Every gobbler I've got on has had a hen the past few weeks. I have a little girl due anyday so I probably won't be hunting much more the next few weeks BUT chances that I get to go to my Tennessee place are looking good.

Little time to hunt, and when I go...NOTHING! We've got lots of birds, but they are just super quiet and no luck with a blind ambush yet.

I'm getting my butt handed to me on a silver platter and been forced to like it. Got on a monster of a bird last Sunday evening, he comes through a gap and into 10 acre field I'm in. Big bird, probably one of the bigger body birds I've ever seen in Bama. Well I'm between him and where he likes to roost, buddy behind me says 99% of the time a turkey walks this way, he killed 9 out of last 10 right here that has come through that gap 80 yards away. Bird semi struts looks at the field and walks the other direction toward the cabin where we were parked! Been tough year. I'm eating humble pie by the shovel full.

Guys got another one this morning. Went to one place heard several gobbles a long way off. Drive around there turkey starts gobbling work him for an hour he quits then 2 starts gobbling right down the hill from me. 10 minutes later they walk in second one struting i let him get about 30 yds boom. Take pictures and when we start looking at him realize he has a double beard. It was a fun hunt.

Way to go Mackdaddy! I actually heard 2 birds trying to get fired up this morning! Stepdaughters wedding is going off as we speak so I couldn't make the trip to them today but tomorrow morning it's on like Donkey Kong!

Well another day of humble pie. Got on birds first thing, they were gobbling at 540 so I was able to get in close. Birds finally pitched off roost to flat below me and stood down there and gobbled for 15 minutes, sounded like 3 gobblers and at least on jake. They end up crossing a creek and heading on around the mountain. All the while another bird got fired up above me and up I go after him, he was way way closer than I thought and ended up bumping him as soon as I topped the mountain. About an hour later got another one gobbling, he was alone and on a mission to die when some other hunters on our club come in from other side of him and tried to call him away but I reckon I sounded better because he kept working toward me, at 70 yards I guess they decide to come on around road yelping loud enough to them hear 3 counties away and bumped the bird. I was none to happy but such is turkey hunting. Ended up getting back on bird again and I bumped him
