The company I lease from is a "Timber" company. We are allowed with limits on plots, which is enough. If we go over that, we pay $100 per acre extra per year.
Biologist? Never been offered.
They don't fix the roads either...unless they are cutting.
However, they are great to lease from and are thankful someone is taking care of their property and helping pay the taxes. They have an open door policy which means if there is any problems, I just walk in and we talk. Can be just questions about things also. Did it just the other day.
IF some of these companies are supplying biologist and fixing roads, I'd be wary of complaining to much. Maybe I missed something though. All of those costs fall on us and dozer work can get expensive. Not complaining though. It's clear what is out responsibility and what isn't which makes it much easier.
