They're gobbled out from all that breeding and egg laying they did in January and February. I might not even go this year.

No gobbling this weekend in west Monroe County. Lots of sign on the roads and fields so I know they are around.

trkymn6f0, What part of Hale County, I got an invite to hunt around hwy 14, but never been to that area or county? Are they usually gobbling by the 20th of march? Thanks

I heard one gobble a few times Sat morning. But he was the only one around and they sure weren't hammering the way the usually are on such a pretty morning.

Heard 5 or 6 different birds in Macon county Saturday morning. Probably only heard 20-30 gobbles total and they were all on the limb. Hope they are fired up this weekend.

My brother and I heard 12-14 different birds on Saturday and we didn't get to check out the whole club in southern Dallas county. They should be hammering this weekend.
