Rem270, I am guessing you have never hunted MS or AR or anywhere in a flyway for that matter.
You can kill woodies consistently and throw in the occasional big ducks, but they are few and far between around Montgomery. When I said head west I was referring to the MS Delta not Lowndes county. Moose is right to though, the Big G is probably your best bet for AL.
No arguing here, can't get any better advice if you want to start duck hunting to go to the best duck hunting in the nation. I just thought the OP was looking a little closer to home.
