My son had a Rem. 770 in 270, shot well for the $ but had a few things about it I didnt like. Add about $250 to that $300 and buy yourself a Weatherby Vanguard Series 2, take the $100+ you saved by NOT buying that Tikka T3 and put that toward good glass. The Vanguard will shoot just as good if not better than the Tikka and it is guaranteed to shoot sub-MOA.

Well my wifes 243 770 youth model is also a Hell of a tack driver. YES its cheap feeling its a sub $300 rifle. I've seen several $1000+ rifles that wont do this..... 5 shots.. Yes this rifle still has the factory Bushnell scope  Guess what kind of rifle this is laying on this deer I killed this year........ Yes its a 710!!

Is there anything you dislike about the gun? Have you looked at the Ruger American ? He probably wouldn't have asked the question if he had. Just sayin'.
