"Stick" welder or wire welder?

If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14

Hey, if your still looking for a welder...i have a Mig welder 150 220V that i bought a Harbor Frieght tools a few years ago and used it one time...i'm not very good at it, so i'd sell it with all the equipment, auto darkening helmet, brushes, etc. for $100 cash. I paid over $250 for everything. Let me know, you can call me at 205-966-3317 if interested.

Well I have one, but I'm in Mobile. I have a MillerMatic 185. This is a big welder meant for commercial work that has a high duty cycle. Not a toy like the ones you find in the big box stores. It's a wire feed welder, holds up to 30lb spools, works perfectly is 220V. Comes with spare leads, huge argon bottle and has a built in cart. $500.00 you pick up Might trade for firearms.

Liberals are of a mind that it's entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.

Take this advice from an ex welder and shop supervisor. If his instructor is worth a crap he will be taught to weld in school. What they usually don't teach is fabrication. Teach him fabrication at home. We would hire these little turds straight outta welding school and they thought they were the shat because they had a notebook full of welding certifications and passed the welding test you gave them but later you find out that if you gave them six pieces of steel plate, they couldn't build a freakin box. All most of them are taught is how to weld two pieces of steel together but they weren't taught how to build anything.

I agree. I've been a certified welder for 20 years. I went to school or it. The last 6 months of school was nothing but fabrication. We build everything you could think of that you'd find on a farm. Cattle troughs, enclosed cattle trailers, tractor repairs, etc... The reason they were all farm related? The head of the department owned a cattle farm. smile
