So every decent deer shot in Alabama is automatically illegally killed Sounds like to me a bunch of grown men need to get a life and quit getting jealous every time a big deer is shot Deer this size are more common than everyone thinks but most people don't want you to know about it I know of several over 180 in that have been killed so they must have been poached then too And if it was poached I don't care unless it was on my land

Although i agree with the first part of that, the end of that run-on sentence tells me you could care less about the future of the sport that most, if not all of us love. You make a game wardens job near impossible.

So what happens when they start poaching on your property? Maybe your neighbor sees them and doesn't call or care because it's not his land?

Hey Jack! All I did was post a PIC of the mount of a huge buck that was killed in Brookwood, Alabama!

I know man! Just predicting the outcome....

After closely looking at the "kill" PICS and then the "mount" PIC I believe for some reason a different cape was used on the mount.

Maybe the guy toted it around too long showing it off and the cape ruined. In the "kill" PICS the buck has lots of white above his nose and also above his eyes. The "mount" pic cape does not appear to have the white.

Maybe the "mount" PIC is just not close up enough or clear enough to tell but does look like a different cape to me.

Not trying to insinuate anything at all with my observations, just saying I believe the cape is different. Could also explain the quick turn around on the mount.







All controversy aside, still a doggone nice buck!

Matt you must not care if people illegally kill deer.For someone who keeps saying we're all like bitching housewives for griping you sure do keep throwing in your comments defending the guy.That gives me reason to believe you see no problem with deer being poached or killed at night.I am by far the least jealous hunter you'll prolly ever meet.I love seeing huge deer taken LEGALLY and if this one was taken legally I would congratulate the hunter,but with all the stories from guys that KNOW him and controversial pictures and conflicting stories I have my doubts this deer was taken legally.Not an ounce of envy on my part.

how about the fact that as outdoorsmen, all of us here have A LOT of respect for creatures like this and how they live to be this large and majestic, and we ALL feel a natural obligation to PROTECT this land and these animals that we love and want nothing but truth,justice,and honor for it and them. LOOK AT THE FRIGGIN PICTURES. YOU'RE NOT PLAYING WITH A FULL DECK IF YOU THINK THEY "add up". So take your insults elsewhere and open your eyes or you'll run into the door on your way out.

And one last thing: we have ALL SAID THAT - If......this was a legal kill then congrats to the hunter....but HELLO!!!????

So, at the end of the day when we all look in the mirror... We know what we do and when we do it. Ethics relate to what a person does when no one is looking.

I don't pretend to know the what, when and how - - If a Man says it was legal, it was.

Personally I don't want to make a big case of finding out the truth of whether or not it was killed legally. The man in the mirror is the only one any of us has to live with.
