All of the above^^^. We'll shoot a doe or two off our big plots in bow season and first week of gun season. After first week of gun season, no more doe rollin'. Then very limited hunting and only "shooter" bucks, it works. My son killed a 130" 10 pt and I killed a 147" 11 pt off our biggest plot this year. In years we kept banging does, a dumb 2.5 YO would be the best thing we could hope to see on the plot. Like I said it works, I've seen the light.
If plots and fields are the ONLY place you can get them, I'd hammer them in bow and 1st week of gun season, then shut it down. My $.02
A large plot, with high quaility "greens" planted in it, surrounded by super thick hardwood cut over and kept quiet is legal bait....for bucks too. wink

"Why do you ask"?

Too many people spend money they don't have , on things they don't need, to impress people they don't know.
