What's the best 16-20 gun safe for 5-700 bucks and where's the best place to get one?I haven't looked in a while but seems like every liberty or cannon I looked at was high as a giraffes ass.

For that price the sentry at Academy is a decent buy
Also the winchesters are nice
Check Craig's list they had a liberty a couple of weeks ago in Mobile that was around that price range(used)

Go to Tractor Supply, they usually have A LOT of safes at decent prices

Liberty has one thats pretty basic and it was around 799 I think. Held 21 guns, it was their fatboy series.

Trox I think I am getting the Winchester safe from tractor supply. It's usually 699 but goes on sale a couple of times a year for 599. Only problem for u is they don't have them in pink. You will have to get a silver one like every other man does.

I may have to go buy some scrubs at the thrift store so I can go to marks and actually have someone pay attention to me so I can ask them a question or two about those safes.

Dont bother I am sure they dont want your business. Same old line about how they discriminate against all you poor folks. They stay in business and are the largest dealer of tons of products because of all us doctors and lawyers and such.

I bought mine at Dicks in Huntsville. Normally the home of high prices, but I caught them having their pre-hunting sale for the year and they had a bunch of gun safes out on the front curb. Regular price was $899 and I bought it for $529. Surprised the heck out of me that I got it for that price.

From what I have seen the 16-20 rated size safes might hold 9 or 10 long guns.

Your first consideration should be to get the thickest metal that you can afford. Defeating a thief is the #1 purpose. Fire rating should be secondary or further down the list since no 1 agency oversees the testing and nothing paper, plastic or wood will survive their max burn time rating.

There's a very good YouTube video out there explaining how to buy a safe. What to look for, etc..
One he specifically mentioned was Fort Knox.

I was in academy last night checking em out.I like the winchester 24 gun safe.Looked like a good solid safe for 799.I'm gonna check tractor supply and maybe even marks to see if maybe they got one with a scratch or dent or something before I make up my mind.
