The last few nights I have woken up in the middle of the night with severe knee pain. It doesn't hurt until I move it then it's so painful for a few seconds it makes me break out in a sweat. Any ideas on what could be causing this? It doesn't hurt during the day or anything like that. It's just sudden severe pain when I wake up.

Wheres it at? Front back or sides? To be honest it's all over on just my left knee. When I wake up it's ok, but as soon as I move it the pain is instant. It last for a few long seconds and then goes away.

What I figure as well. Gonna make an appointment with the doctor and get it checked out. I can't even describe how painful it is, it's like a charlie horse in the knee

I never was a believer in the necklaces and bracelets like the pro athletes wear, however I have bad knees and my meniscus in both knees are messed up. After an hour on the tractor (engaging clutch)or long days work just overusing my knee in general they would hurt. One day it was so bad I was in a sporting goods storw and thought what the heck, Ive blown $20 on a lot worse. I bought a Phitan necklace and rarely do I have a day that my knees have pain since the purchase. It may be in my head who knows but Ill take it over the pain any day. I bought my mother (meniscus also) one after that and she said it helped her also. That being said I still cant run the tractor all day without pain.

The next I was damn near crippled and never felt paint like than in my life. I was almost in tears trying to get around the house on crutches.

I knew a a guy with that same problem, he died of aids. You still stopping by Friday afternoon? If the aids don't kill ya before that?

Had mine roto rootered a week ago tomorrow...swoll up like a Ole Miss fans head after todays recruiting (both are useless swellings)...swelling subsiding, funny thing muscles and tendon AROUND knee are what freaking hurt, more so than the joint...had bruises where the straps were on my thigh...asking Dr tomorrow if he used a damn hammer to get tube in...torn meniscus and some calcium deposits...plus Im not a 2012 Model Vette anymore...

Want a surefire way to get rid of the knee pain?Its an old home remedy.Take you a 8" concrete block and set it by your bed.Get a 28 oz estwing hammer and lay it on your nightstand.Every morning when you wake up before moving your leg gently place the hand of your choice on top of the block palm down.Take the hammer and hit the finger of choice as hard as you can and wala...No more knee pain GUARANTEED.
