Personally, I think they ought to start bowseason Nov 1st and end gun season Feb 15th. A lot of bucks I have seen down here are still in velvet the first couple of weeks in October and the does still have spotted fawns that are waaaaay too young to be orphaned. It would be good to catch a full blown rut down here finally. They started chasing wide open the 30th of January last year on our place and I'm beginning to wonder if I will see it down here at all this year.
