This was one of my best seasons yet. It all started with my first season of bowhunting, while I wasn't able to get a deer, I was able to find out how fun bowhunting is and it was awesome getting to hunt a month earlier. I missed a really big 8 point on the day of the alabama tennesse game during bow season and it killed, but gun season was good to me. I started the beginning of gun season off well with a nice doe. My niece, Molly was down and I was able to share the memory with her.

In December I was able to connect on my biggest buck yet, I was able to leave work early one Friday and got to the field where I missed the nice 8 during bow seasons. Around 400 I had this 9 point step out (had a split brow) with anther 8 and a spike. Immediately I loved his brow tines and how symmetrical he was. I squeezed the trigger and dropped him right in his tracks. I am now waiting on the taxidermist to get done with him and I can't wait to get him back.

I then got to share a great memory with my 67 year old grandfather, i got to drop an 8 point with him and while it wasn't the prettiest buck, it was am awesome experience with him. It was my 5th buck with him as a team and I loved every second of it.

I then was able to get my girlfriend her first deer and I posed those pics yesterday. It was a great year and I'm looking forward to turkey season. Over my last 9 years of deer season, I've learned how lucky I am to have a good tract of land to hunt own and how grateful we are to have the chance to hunt. I look forward to next year and I hope everyone had a great year. I've really gotten hooked to this forum and I love hearing everyone's stories, I always get a good a laugh too.

Very nice, I'm glad you've enjoyed sharing hunting with your family.

Appreciate all the comments guys, I'm hoping it carries over to turkey season! It was so warm yesterday morning that I was hoping to hear one gobble, only 46 more days.
