Wonderful news...one thing I am extremely concerned about is our deer population in certain parts of the state. I wish this could be addressed as well. Go back to a doe season and allow large landowners to apply for extra tags if they need them. Have a biologist assess the request and issue an appropriate number of tags.
I agree, set some doe days early in the year before the does are bred then hunt bucks a little longer. I'm totally against killing does in January anywhere in the state simply because they may be bred.
