Shooting does and bucks during this time sounds like trouble for the population in a few years. You could be killing more pregnant does. I know that the same argument could be made for those killed during the regualr season now. If you are killing them in Feb wouldnt your odds be higher for shooting a pregnant doe then instead of Decemeber or January? If you cannot kill a doe before February...what the crap is wrong with you?
Make it a buck only gig. That is what a "rut" hunter is looking for really right? That seems to be the argument around here. "We dont get to shoot rutting bucks because our rut is later than your in__________ Alabama."
