Sumbitch will come outta nowhere ,take your belt off choke you out ,slap a deer in the hindquarter and give it a heartattack then slam you down on the deer, take a pic and call you kenmack before you can blink an eye then throw a purple smokebomb and disappear into the darkness in his ford tempo listening to little red corvette by prince. Yea..he's that bad.

i have never, nor would ever, kill someone's dog. i don't care if it came through my property every day while hunting. I can't control the ethics of the dog owner, but I can control mine!

not to mention a coward to shoot a dog instead of confront a Man.
And what if you confront the man and he totally ignores your requests to keep his dogs off your land? Or basically tells you to go #### yourself. I know you say call the game warden but in case you haven't noticed we aren't exactly awash in GW's in Alabama. The few we have are stretched over a pretty big area. They cannot stake out your land all season long.

Why do people go in and lease land right beside private property that people own and then try to change the very culture of the area???
Wow! Are you seriously this naive? How old are you? 12? It couldn't possibly be the dog hunters that move in next to the stand hunters huh? But either way why should the people involved in the unethical behavior be absolved of all sins by invoking the strange logic that if their neighbors don't like it they shouldn't be there. That is quite possibly the lamest and most blisteringly stupid defense of unethical behavior I have ever heard.
How would you feel if your next door neighbor put a set of 6 foot talk speakers on his porch and started blasting rap music so loud it was cracking the window panes on your house? And when you reported it to the police they told you, "Well sir if you don't like really loud rap music then why do you live there."I bet the look on your face would be priceless after that exchange. Would the fact that the neighbor lived in the area first make you okay with his behavior?

It's really a very simple concept.
- YOU run dogs on YOUR land and all is good. - Still hunter hunts on HIS land and all is good. - YOUR dogs keep getting on STILL hunters land equals dead dogs and trouble
Seems simple to me. Keep your hunting on your property and I will keep mine on mine and we won't have a problem.

There are just as many trespassing still hunters as trespassing doggers.
I have no idea if this is true but it doesn't matter because the difference that renders it a moot point is that no one is defending the still hunters right to trespass on your land.

I am pretty certain that you know I am not 12. And, you know I only live a few miles away....
So, tell me.....how much luck have YOU had in getting the music and slow-riding 'Boom-Boom' boxes in Peachtree stopped??? Or, how successful have you been in stopping the road-riding and night-hunting in Peachtree and The Bend??
RIGHT, WRONG, OR INDIFFERENT......you ain't gonna come whipping in there, shoot a couple of dogs and change it!!!! We both know that!!!!
IF you had watched the video and read the text of this case, you would know that the people were locals hunting their own property and the 'shooters' were out of towners that leased the property.

I watched it and have read the whole thread. It did not sound like the dogs got shot on the locals land to me. Sounds like they were shot on someone elses land. Someones land they should not have been on. And what the hell does it matter where someone is from or how long they have had a place. That shouldn't matter at all in the eyes of the law.
You are just constantly crawling farther and farther down an indefensible hole here.

We used to dog hunt in Packers Bend back in the 70's and early 80's when no one around us hunted or cared if our dogs crossed onto their place. But when the local area got crowded with hunting clubs and leases we stopped dog hunting. It was the "RIGHT" and "RESPECTFUL" thing to do for our neighbors. I do not have the right to run my dog across your land without your permission. And since the dog doesn't possess the intelligence to heed property lines it's my responsibility not to turn him loose where he might cross onto someone else's place. And nothing about us having land in the area first changes those facts.
