There were only a few people on the property. The dogs exact GPS tracks, along with times, is stored on an SD card. It would be pretty easy to narrow down the possibilities.....and, in EVERY experience I have ever had; very little questioning to get one person to tell on another to avoid prosecution!
May be your experience. I have investigated several dog shootings/ poisionings. The dogs were where they shouldn't have been in all cases except one and there was no suspects on that one. If anything a GPS will prove the dogs were also where they weren't supposed to be. Some folks know how the rules work and have no problem making a one sentence statement or just flat out ask for a lawyer. That's their right.
Once again, there are no Laws in the area saying the dogs 'had no right' to be there.
It may not be the ideal scenario....BUT, it is NOT illegal!
It may not be illegal, that doesn't change the scenario as far as if the shooting was justified. At this point one has to go by the only witnesses to the shooting which happen to be the shooter(s).
