To this I say the same thing I have said to friends who dog hunted...........If you don't police your fellow dog hunters that is exactly what will happen. I grew up running dogs and loved it, would like to do it at least one more time just to take my son. BUT for years I have heard the same things from many dog hunters about "my dogs can't read no hunting signs". Running the roads to cut deer off in a 4x4 or ATV is also a common practice and has been for years. Well if the dog hunters association TRUELY wanted to stop dogs from being killed they would police their own and quit worrying about other landowners killing dogs which have repeatedly run deer across their property. If it's a accident and not happening on a regular basis ,not many people will kill a dog. On the other hand if it happens often and something has been said to the dogs owner who does nothing to stop it, I would not hesitate to put a stop to it myself. Those friends of mine always said there was no way it would ever be outlawed, they were wrong for most of the state and if this stuff keeps happening the rest will soon follow. I hope it don't happen because it is part of our heritage and if done right it is fun and don't interfere with other landowners, but a few outlaws ruin it for everyone else.

Lead, follow or get the HELL outa the way!
