I wouldn't shoot there dogs or get pushed around.

I haven't hunted deer with dogs in 27 years. I took up other forms of hound hutning. Since then I have had a couple run ins while still hunting.

About 20 years ago I was hunting one evening. While leaving I was flagged down by this guy who apparently had permission for the same property I did. It was also apparent he was baiting and dog hunting in a county with a closed season for deer dogg'in. He asked real friendly like if I had permission and wanted to see it. I didn't have to but I showed it to him. He went to cussing and wouldn't give me my piece of paper back.

This guy was pretty big and I'm not. I don't start trouble but I have been accused of having a temper. I just went off on him. I didn't hit him but grabbed him, pushed him and took my permission. I was ready to do more if he fought back.

He knew me after that but would turn and walk away when he saw me.

I guess I could have just shot his dogs but that just wouldn't have been fair.

Believe me the way I handled it was alot more fun. That was 20 years ago though, I would probably be on the recieving end today.
