before 1910 I'd bet on damascus, esp with hammers. I saw a local black in Eutaw years ago with a hammer double with damascus barrels. He was shooting WW 3" OO buckshot out of it.......

Twisted wire construction. It is T barker and these guns were sold at local hardware stores back in the day. The value is simply what Someone is willing to pay. If anyone here knows about old shotguns then they know to never fire any modern ammo. Unless you are loading incredibly low load.
