Just got an email that Alabama Whitetail Record Books are now online and the email said they were going to be updating their site so people could upload pictures and what not. Does anybody here have a deer in the record book? If so, what did it score and what is it's rank?

I was the first person to run a tape on the deer, Jimmy Baileys big Hale Co deer.
But we're talking about a different book.

Boone&Crockett vs AWR

I thought it was you. Didn't you take it to Mississippi and have it officially scored? I may be wrong, been a couple of days since then!

I took it to Birmingham and had Joel Stone check my measurements. Jimmy then took it to a B&C measurer in Miss to have it scored....

The neck skin was sewn down the side of the neck with a 10" overlap of the skin, ON A HUGE FORM.... I asked Jimmy what it weighed. He didn't weigh it but killed a buck a week er so before this one and it weighed 305. This one was bigger.

It grossed near 205 if I remember correctly...

A friend of mine killed a deer that qualified and then some. Less than 2 inches for B&C typical. We looked in the book they put out with the stories and all. Since he was to be in there, he paid for inclusion and then a book. He never received either, but his check was dang sure cashed.

A friend took a buck my wife killed to be scored while we were out of town. It was an eight point with one 1" sticker, main frame grossed 141(my measurements). They scored it at 127 at BJCC. WTH??? Joel Stone(official SCI measurer) scored it at 141. How in the hell do you get a score diff of 13" on a plain eight pointer??? Idiots.

They called her up to get it included in the bow killed section. She told the woman to go to hell....and to please take her other entry out of the book as she wanted nothing to do with them.

Same here, carried one I shot with a muzzleloader, paid the $ at the B'ham show, it made minimum score and then some, never been included in the book. That's been about 10 years ago.
